No matter what they are going through, kids are still kids. They need to laugh, be silly, play games, and have fun.
But for kids affected by childhood cancer and blood disorders, summer can be lonely and isolating. Going away to overnight camp simply isn't an option for some families, so we created a day camp that's just for them.
What is WCK City Camp?
WCK City Camp is the only medically-supervised day camp in B.C. designed specifically for children and youth ages 5-12 affected by childhood cancer and blood disorders. Located in Surrey, with close proximity to the hospital, it offers a flexible camp experience that supports children both on and off treatment.
Led by experienced staff and trained volunteers, City Camp is a safe, inclusive space where children can build friendships with peers who understand their journey, gain confidence, try new activities, and simply have fun being kids.
Because we know that a diagnosis impacts the entire family, City Camp welcomes children living with or beyond cancer or a blood disorder, as well as their siblings and bereaved siblings. It's a place where every child can find connection, belonging, and joy, and thanks to the generosity of our community, participation is provided at no cost to families.

It costs $500 for a child to attend WCK City Camp for the full week. This covers the cost of expert medical supervision, behavioural support, nourishing snacks, high-quality facilities, and fun games and crafts. Help send a kid to camp this summer.
