The Club
The Club
The Club is a free program that focuses on empowering female-identifying and non-binary young adults to build supportive relationships and essential connections.
At The Club, you’ll be able to build supportive, empowering relationships with other young people who get it. This program is open to female-identifying and non-binary youth (including genderqueer, gender-diverse, and self-identified young women) in B.C. affected by childhood cancer or blood disorders, either through their own diagnosis or a sibling's diagnosis.
The Club
Who?
The Club is for young adults who are:
- Between the ages of 18-30
- Female-identifying and non-binary (including genderqueer, gender-diverse, and self-identified young women)
- Living in B.C.
- Living with/beyond cancer or blood disorders OR a sibling affected by childhood cancer or blood disorders
What?
The Club is a yearly program that runs from September - June.
Members meet twice per month online to socialize and connect over shared interests, activities, and everyday life. All sessions are co-produced with participants. The Club members run the club, we just help facilitate!
Where?
Monthly sessions take place on Zoom, with an active member led whatsapp chat for connection outside of sessions.
The online sessions lead up to an in person retreat that takes place over a weekend in May. Participants are supported to travel across the province for a weekend of connection, relaxation and fun! There is no cost to attend, thanks to our generous donors we are able to cover travel, accommodation and food.
